We are proud to be a part of our surrounding community of Altadore in South West Calgary, Alberta, Canada!  We have been on this beautiful corner lot in the inner city for over six decades, and have a rich heritage of love, support and encouragement to our community and neighbours. Some of what we offer to our neighbourhood includes:

Local Mission Support

Through God, we at Altadore Church have been blessed to offer our support to many local Calgary initiatives over the years, including Alcove Addiction Recovery for Women, Inn from the Cold, the CUPS (Calgary Urban Project Society) Acadia and Bankview housing units, the Mustard Seed, the Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre Baby Bottle Campaign and many others.

Refugee Sponsorship

In December of 2014, three Baptist churches, Altadore, Bonavista and Northmount formed the group Calgary Baptists for Refugees (CBFR).  We explored various options within the sponsorship network. All churches agreed to raise a minimum of $9,000 with a combination of individual donations or budgeted line items with their church.  The group then signed to sponsor two Syrian refugees.  This experience was very positive. The church continues to help out others who are new to Canada, including a refugee from Uganda in 2019.
