Ministry Beyond Ourselves (Ministry to Others)
We at Altadore Church are eager to be authentic in the expression of our Christian faith. Our church’s vision statement challenges us to live in this way. At Altadore Church, we encourage people of all ages to get involved in ministry to others.

Christmas Offering
In 2025 the congregation at Altadore Church gave towards The Mustard Seed. The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1984. We accepted warm socks, mitts and toques on our “Giving Tree” in the foyer as well as Cash donations which have now been passed along to the Mustard Seed for where it is most needed.
Internationally we accepted financial donations towards the Canadian Baptist Ministries Kids at Risk programs.

Lebanon
As a church we support two projects in Lebanon; the True Vine School in Zahle, and the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary in Beirut. The True Vine school is located in the Bekaa Valley, an area that has been flooded with Syrian refugees. This school is for Syrian refugee students in grades kindergarten to grade six . These 200 children have not been able to attend school for up to two years. The Arab Baptist Theological seminary is designed to equip leaders for the church in the Arab world. There are 44 full time and 20 part time students registered from Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Only strategic leaders, those who are endorsed and sent by their churches to be equipped for effective service, are registered. They must also have a very clear calling to go back in order to serve their communities. This is one of the few places in the Middle East and Northern Africa where Muslim background believers can become equipped to serve Christian churches.
