As we approach this ADVENT season let's remember the 4,000 Calgarians who are absolutely homeless and IFTC who in 2012 met the needs of 21% of those, 455 of whom were children. Their work encompasses Prevention: working with families at risk to prevent homelessness, Emergency Shelter: using both the traditional Community Inns and their own new Emergency Shelter, Housing: partnering with affordable housing providers and lastly Programs and Partnerships working with Agencies offering appropriate programming available for families at their own Emergency Shelter . Cash donations are always welcome but you may wish to actually bring something physical to put in the INN FROM THE COLD box available in the gym.
